Fiesta!
So the Bowl Championship Series did the right thing and matched THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY with Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, January 2.
This is clearly the best matchup, despite claims from several sportswriters that the Oregon Ducks, who finished 10-1, were snubbed.
First of all, who, outside of Oregon, actually knows or cares about the Ducks? Guess what Daffy fans, ratings matter because they translate into dollars, and that is all the BCS is concerned with anyway right?
The Ducks went 10-1 playing in the Pac 10 conference. Which is like a prosecuting attorney getting excited about putting Robert Downey Jr. away on possession charges, WOO HOO!
Isn't the Pac 10 just USC and "teams USC practices against en route to the Rose Bowl" or whatever the national championship bowl may be that year?
Finally, what really destroyed Oregon's chances was probably the BCS committee's reluctance to accept a team coached by a guy who supports murderers. Not too mention those retina searing uniforms!

Oh my god here we go with the east coast bias. Just because the Pac-10 plays games where points are actually scored somehow it's an inferior conference. Sorry but just because almost every Big Ten game ends 17-10 doesn't make it a great conference. I'm not saying that Oregon deserved to go to a BCS game but don't start talking about the Pac-10 as USC and everyone else. Pac 10 footballs might not be your style of football but give me a shoot out where I can see the ball being passed forward. Everyone needs to get off the Big Ten nuts its not great or even good football just mediocre. And don’t hate on Oregon’s uniforms they have 9 different versions almost enough to play in a different uniform every game. Must be nice having Nikes President and CEO as an alum.
